🎉 This was Season 1 — and it was delicious! Thank you to everyone who joined. The “Tales & Tastes of Singapore River” heritage food trail ran over four Sundays in September–October 2023. Its success led directly to the creation of Season 2: Echoes of 1959. For a food tour experience available year-round, try our Beyond Michelin Food Tour.

About This Tour

The 7th Edition of the Singapore River Festival was back — and Singapore River One and Let’s Go Tours jointly presented “Tales and Tastes of Singapore River”, an experiential food and walking tour along Boat Quay and Clarke Quay that fused Singapore’s heritage and gastronomy in a single unmissable afternoon.

On this tour, participants rediscovered Singapore’s history 700 years back to 1299, when Sang Nila Utama named our land ‘Singapura’. They uncovered the stories of the spice hub at Boat Quay, the bridges along the river, and Clarke Quay’s early charms as an entertainment hub.

What’s more? Guests got the chance to savour local and international delights from four handpicked restaurants — Shrimp Prawn Seafood, Dragon Chamber, Zorba The Greek Taverna and Brewerkz — and ended with a spectacular riverside sunset. A unique immersion into heritage and flavours, with breathtaking river views at every turn.

The Four Restaurant Stops

Stop 1

Shrimp Prawn Seafood

A beloved institution at Boat Quay, famed for their rich, flavourful prawn-based dishes that showcase the best of Singapore’s seafood heritage. The Steelpot Prawn Vermicelli is a house specialty that draws locals and visitors alike.

Stop 2

The Dragon Chamber

A modern Chinese dining concept hidden behind a secretive entrance at Clarke Quay. The Dragon Chamber reimagines classic Chinese flavours with a contemporary twist. Their signature Truffle Salt Baked Chicken is a showstopper — earthy, aromatic, and utterly indulgent.

Stop 3

Zorba The Greek Taverna

A slice of the Mediterranean on Singapore’s riverbanks. Zorba brings authentic Greek warmth and flavours to Clarke Quay — warm pita, generous mezze, and vibrant dips that transport you straight to the Aegean. The perfect contrast to Singapore’s local heritage stops.

Stop 4 · Final

Brewerkz

Singapore’s original craft brewery, perched with a glorious view of the river and the evening skyline. The Bruschetta Flight was the perfect sign-off — light, fresh, and paired with spectacular riverside sunset views to close a memorable afternoon of flavour and heritage.
